Last season the Minnesota Twins brought in a trio of one-year rentals to supplement Rocco Baldelli\u2019s roster<\/a>. Harrison Bader was the best of them<\/a>, but he was shipped out<\/a> at the deadline<\/a> just like Ty France<\/a> and Danny Coulombe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of course a 70-92 Twins<\/a> team needed to shed salary and recoup value before the season ended. Bader went to the Phillies and ultimately pushed (PED-using<\/a>) Max Kepler out of a job. It took him some time to find his next team, but this time he gets a longer-term commitment.<\/p>\n

Last season Harrison Bader posted a 3.2 fWAR<\/a> to generate the second-best season of his career. He will be 32 years old in 2026, and landed a two-year deal with the San Francisco Giants.<\/p>\n

Giants general manager Buster Posey lands a new outfielder for first-year manager Tony Vitello. Former Minnesota Twins bench coach Jayce Tingler is on the staff in that same role, and immediately will be a familiar face.<\/p>\n

In 146 games last season (96 for the MN Twins), Bader batted .277\/.347\/.449<\/a> with a career-high 17 home runs. It might have been the Chug Jug training bat he busted out in the on-deck circle that helped him reach new heights.<\/p>\n

Bader moved primarily to left field last season for Minnesota. He was still exceptional defensively<\/a> posting a 13 DRS (defensive runs saved), 6 OAA (outs above average), and 5 FRV (fielding run value). Bader\u2019s presence provides a veteran boost for San Francisco who has<\/a> Heliot Ramos, Jung Ho Lee, and Drew Gilbert in the outfield from left to right.<\/p>\n

Last season Bader signed for $6.25 million<\/a> with the MN Twins. He had previously made $10.5 million with the New York Mets in 2024. At $20.5 million with the Giants<\/a>, he certainly capitalized on his strong 2025.<\/p>\n
