The MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia this year will have interconnectivity that will be \u201cevident,\u201d as the week will \u201cactivate multiple parts of the city\u201d from July 11 through July 14, including events at Independence Mall in Old City and Citizens Bank Park in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, according to Emma Dooling of the PHILADELPHIA BUSINESS JOURNAL. The All-Star Village fan experience will operate inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center during those four days. MLB SVP\/Global Events Jeremiah Yolkut said they were \u201cnever\u201d able to \u201cnecessarily connect to something as rich\u201d as the 250th anniversary of the U.S. in previous All-Star Games. He added that MLB is \u201cbeing intentional about incorporating the city\u201d into the week\u2019s events. The league also plans to \u201cinvest millions of dollars into local community projects to leave a lasting impact on Philadelphia.\u201d Yolkut said that those projects will be announced over the next few months.
