I\u2019m good with that,\u201d Tucker said with a laugh. \u201cI\u2019m excited. This is a great group of guys and I\u2019m excited to get to know them a little bit better and get to playing with them on the field.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tucker recently signed a four-year, $240 million contract with the Dodgers. He will enter his first season in L.A., while Freeman will enter his fifth. Mandatory Credit: Matt Marton-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear whether Freeman would want to continue to play at that point, but only time will tell.<\/p>\n<p>Tucker also added that he spoke to Shohei Ohtani and Max Muncy prior to his presser.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve talked to a few guys. I saw Muncy and Shohei here today, met some of the medical staff and front office. Being able to put a name to a face and be in front of them was really cool,\u201d Tucker said. \u201cHad a few guys text me, saying they\u2019re excited for me to join the team, and vice versa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Will Kyle Tucker Replace Freddie Freeman in Dodgers Lineup?<\/p>\n<p>As for Tucker, he has a great opportunity to win the second World Series ring of his career. The 29-year-old enters Los Angeles as one of the best players in the league.\u00a0The Florida native will do all he can to take the Dodgers over the top again. His play alone will do wonders for both sides of the ball.<\/p>\n<p>Freeman knows a thing or two about playing both sides of the ball as well. The 36-year-old has done it all in his career, winning a Gold Glove Award and being a three-time Silver Slugger Award winner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While Freeman has featured in the top of the Dodgers lineup order since he joined the team, the first baseman could hit lower because of Tucker\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n<p>Manager Dave Roberts expects Tucker to hit <a href=\"https:\/\/dodgersnation.com\/dave-roberts-reveals-dodgers-lineup-order-with-kyle-tucker-addition\/2026\/01\/21\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201csecond or third.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Freeman and Tucker are set to do damage together, regardless of the order they fall in the lineup.
