Clayton Kershaw might not have a \u201cnormal offseason\u201d compared to the last 18 years of his life, but it appears as if he\u2019ll be back in baseball soon \u2014 this time, as a studio analyst for NBC Sports.<\/p>\n

Following multiple<\/a> reports<\/a> suggesting Kershaw could join a national studio show in 2026, Front Office Sports\u2019 Ryan Glasspiegel reported Wednesday that NBC and Clayton Kershaw are nearing a deal for the future Hall of Fame pitcher to have a role in the network\u2019s MLB studio coverage.<\/p>\n

Kershaw,\u00a0who retired<\/a>\u00a0after the Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2025 World Series, is a future Hall of Famer and considered one of the best pitchers of his generation. He retired with one MVP award, three Cy Young Awards, and 11 All-Star Game appearances in an 18-year career, all in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Kershaw has\u00a0spoken<\/a>\u00a0often<\/a>\u00a0about his desire to spend more time with his family in his first year out of baseball. He and his wife, Ellen,\u00a0welcomed their <\/a>fifth<\/a> child<\/a>\u00a0in December.<\/p>\n

Andrew Marchand of\u00a0The Athletic<\/a> previously reported that Kershaw \u201cwould likely work select events if a deal comes to fruition\u201d with NBC.<\/p>\n

While the scope of the new gig is not yet known, it appears to be a question of when, not if, Kershaw will be on screen again.<\/p>\n
