It’s a lengthy and loaded list, as it includes Tommy White and Robby Snelling, arguably the Marlins’ two best pitching prospects.

The prospects

The big name among the Marlins’ non-roster invites is Thomas White, a 2023 first-round pick who is arguably the best prospect in the system.

Between three levels, White struck out 145 batters over 89.2 IP. The left-hander also ranked either at the top or near it, in terms of swing-and-miss, in both the Midwest League and the Southern League.

White’s fastball is a tremendous asset. It’s a pitch that’ll sit 94-95 MPH but White can run it up to 97-98 MPH if need be, and it gets swing-and-miss. Aside from that offering, White will work with a changeup that sat in the mid-to-high-80s, plus a slider and a sweeper.

The Marlins will also bring two of their other big-name pitching prospects, Robby Snelling and Karson Milbrandt.

Snelling, acquired from the Padres in 2024, had a very good bounce-back season in 2025. The 22-year-old left-hander struck out 166 batters over 136 combined innings between Double-A and Triple-A last season. He did his finest work in Triple-A, as Snelling struck out 81 over 63.2 IP and a 33.9% Whiff% that ranked among the top-ten in the International League.

A four-pitch pitcher, opposing batters had a hard time squaring Snelling up. His 3.4% opponents’ Barrel% ranked among the best in Triple-A, as well.

Milbrandt struck out 113 over 90 Minor League innings last season, and then finished second in the Arizona Fall League in strikeouts (23) this past fall.
