The Guardians must do whatever they can to help him be prepared for that moment, and they’re doing just that by inviting Bazzana to MLB camp as a non-roster invite.

Bazzana finished the 2025 campaign on a tear, logging a .858 OPS, including nine extra-base hits, in 26 games at Triple-A, and that’s likely where Cleveland’s No. 1 prospect will start the 2026 season.

However, seeing how Bazzana fairs against some big-league pitching during spring training could give the Guardians an indication about how close he is to joining the big-league roster.

Ralphy Velazquez really put himself on the map and established himself as one of the organization’s top prospects. The left-handed hitter logged a .994 OPS after being promoted to Double-A towards the end of the season, but he’ll get an opportunity participate with the big-league team during training camp.

If Velazquez does struggle in what will likely be limited opportunities against true MLB arms, it’s important he doesn’t get too discouraged. Even though Velázquez was drafted almost three years ago now, he’s still only 20 years old and could be facing pitching a decade or more older than him.

<img alt="Aug 28, 2022; Phoenix, Arizona, US; West infielder/catcher Ralphy Velazquez (24) during the Perfect Game All-American Classic high school baseball game at Chase Field. Rebilas-Imagn Images

Cooper Ingle is getting closer and closer to being a true option for the Guardians at the big-league level, and seeing him invited to Major League camp is proof of that.

Ingle’s bat has come a long way since being drafted in 2023. Last season, he hit .260/.389/.419 across Double-A and Triple-A.

However, as with any catching prospect, it’ll be interesting to see whether the Guardians have him behind the plate for any of Cleveland’s big-league-level pitching. If anything, Ingle being at Major League camp can at least help him start to build those relationships.

Guardians Roundtable also offers a fan community and message board.
