For the Royals, that margin might be the line between hanging around .500 and actually contending. Development isn\u2019t linear, but some leaps matter more than others.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Royals certainly have a few candidates for improvement this year. They tendered a contract to Jonathan India, expecting a bounce-back season. Rookie Jac Caglianone is looking to put a disappointing debut season behind him. Seth Lugo is in the first season of a multi-year deal and will hope to avoid the second-half swoon he had last year.
