He appeared in 52 games overall, slashing .225\/.265\/.348 with four home runs, 11 RBI, and a 62 OPS+.<\/p>\n<p>Hamel&#8217;s stint with the Yankees didn&#8217;t last very long, as the team had just claimed him off waivers from the Texas Rangers on January 27.
