Texas A&M<\/a> baseball is gearing up for the 2026 season, and while expectations are modest, the roster is strong enough to make a legitimate push back to postseason play. During his time in College Station, Cortez was known for his overpowering fastball and intimidating presence on the mound. When his command was locked in, he was one of the toughest pitchers in the SEC to square up.<\/p>\n Cortez played a pivotal role in the Aggies\u2019 2024 College World Series run and ultimately became a second\u2011round draft pick<\/a> by the Angels.
