He is the definition of a utility player, and the only positions he has not played are catcher, pitcher, and center field.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With Donovan&#8217;s ability to fill multiple infield spots, Seattle&#8217;s front office could have a tough decision on its hands. Do they keep their top prospect, Colt Emerson, down in the minors or bring him up for Opening Day?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The crew over at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/milb\/news\/prospects-who-can-compete-for-opening-day-spot-2026?msockid=22f2f802fdb66a12332ae9affcc86b76\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">MLB.com<\/a> tags this situation as one that fans will want to keep a close eye on.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The 20-year-old&#8217;s advanced bat seems ready and his ability to play three infield positions &#8211; he&#8217;s been working at second too &#8211; helps provide options. How the M&#8217;s decide to break camp with some combination of Emerson, Cole Young and the newly acquired Brendan Donovan will be one of the most intiruing storyline of the Cactus League.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For Seattle, this is a good problem to have.
