Another piece of the blockbuster trade between the Giants and Boston Red Sox last June is on the move. <\/p>\n
San Francisco, which acquired superstar Rafael Devers from Boston in a stunning mid-season trade, shipped left-handed pitcher Kyle Harrison, outfielder James Tibbs III, relief pitcher Jordan Hicks and right-handed pitcher Jose Bello off to the Red Sox on June 15.<\/p>\n
Boston since has traded Tibbs to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Hicks to the Chicago White Sox,<\/a> and after reportedly acquiring third baseman Caleb Durbin in a deal with the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, parted with Harrison, who was the key piece the Red Sox included in the deal. <\/p>\n Infielder David Hamilton and left-hander Shane Drohan are the other two players going to Milwaukee along with Kyle Harrison in the Caleb Durbin deal, sources tell ESPN.<\/p>\n \u2014 Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) February 9, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n Now that Boston has parted with three of the four players it received in the trade with the Giants, it’s becoming increasingly clear to many around MLB that San Francisco won the trade.<\/p>\n The Giants acquired Devers and the approximately $245 million remaining on his contract, and in 90 games with San Francisco, the slugger batted .236\/.347\/.460 with 20 home runs and 51 RBI in 395 plate appearances.<\/p>\n He now will fortify the middle of the Giants’ lineup for years to come, while the Red Sox move forward without their homegrown star and most of the assets they received for him. <\/p>\n Download and follow the Giants Talk Podcast<\/a><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t
