So, once we saw the other team (win), we were a lot happier. It was definitely a topic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was an interesting comment from Kiner-Falefa, and Boone responded to it on Wednesday and admitted he was surprised to hear the former Yankees infielder say that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"nesn-in-content-ad__copy\">Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI guess he was right,\u201d Boone <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ChrisKirschner\/status\/2021626502429933885\" rel=\"nofollow\">said<\/a> on Wednesday, responding to Kiner-Falefa\u2019s comments. \u201cLittle surprising to hear \u2018IKF\u2019 say that. But whatever, that\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Kiner-Falefa\u2019s dig at the Yankees will only help the rivalry between the Red Sox and New York. And, as Boone said, Kiner-Falefa was right as Toronto dominated New York in four games to advance to the ALCS.<\/p>\n<p>Kiner-Falefa, meanwhile, signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Red Sox this offseason.
