\u201cThe Big Dumper\u201d is gracing the cover of a new baseball video game.<\/p>\n

Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh has been announced as the cover athlete for Baseball Hits 26, a free game from Ares Interactive that will be available this year on mobile devices.<\/p>\n

Brendan Donovan is already fitting right in with Mariners<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHaving the opportunity to partner with Ares Interactive as the cover athlete for Baseball Hits 26 is a highlight,\u201d Raleigh said in a press release. \u201cThe game is going to be perfect for road trips when I\u2019ve got some downtime and just want to have a little fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raleigh is the second player on the current Mariners roster to grace the cover of a mobile baseball video game after Julio Rodr\u00edguez was the cover athlete for EA Sports MLB Tap Sports Baseball 2023. Baseball Hits 26 is a bit of a spiritual successor to the MLB Tap Sports franchise, as it is produced by 7th Inning, a new studio founded by Ares Interactive that includes former developers of MLB Tap Sports in \u201ckey development roles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raleigh is coming off an incredible 2025 season where he hit 61 home runs, setting new records for most homers in a single season for both a catcher and a Mariners player. So it\u2019s no surprise that he\u2019s found his way onto a video game cover this year.<\/p>\n

A 2025 All-Star and the 2024 Platinum Glove winner as the best defender regardless of position in the American League, the switch-hitting Raleigh is already getting to work at Mariners spring training in Arizona. He is set for a busy buildup to the MLB season as he will play catcher for Team USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic<\/a> that begins play in early March.<\/p>\n
