Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani featured in a new commercial for Dunlop Tyres, a brand owned and produced by Japanese company Sumitomo Rubber Industries.<\/p>\n

The commercial advertises the Dunlop Synchro Weather tire, which features \u201cActive Tread\u201d, meaning it adjusts and adapts to various weather and road conditions.<\/p>\n

Ohtani signed an advertising contract with Dunlop in 2024, debuting in a commercial with a CGI depiction of Babe Ruth in July 2024.<\/p>\n

Since his arrival in MLB, Ohtani has partnered with Japanese and American companies alike, proving people who doubted his marketability wrong. Per Sportico<\/a>, Ohtani made an estimated $100 million from his brand deals in 2025. His endorsements made him more money than any other athlete in the world last year, clearing names like LeBron James ($85 million) and Lionel Messi ($70 million).<\/p>\n

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Roger Federer and Tiger Woods are the only other athletes to reach the $100 million mark.<\/p>\n

How Does Shohei Ohtani Attract so Many Brand Deals?<\/p>\n

With Ohtani\u2019s global reach, it\u2019s only natural he\u2019d get plenty of offers for brand deals, especially from Japanese companies.<\/p>\n

The star\u2019s abilities have propelled him to the forefront of the baseball world, and \u2014 based on his performances during the past several seasons \u2014 that won\u2019t change any time soon.<\/p>\n

Nobody in MLB can match Ohtani\u2019s abilities, as he stands alone as a two-way player at the top level. He has won two World Series, four MVP awards, four Silver Sluggers and an NLCS MVP while making five All-Star Games. He\u2019s hit 50 or more homers in each of the last two seasons, and has had an OPS north of 1.000 in each of the last three.<\/p>\n

He has also taken his spot on the mound back, recovering from a lengthy rehab period following Tommy John surgery in the 2023 season with the Los Angeles Angels. He made 14 pitching appearances in 2025, posting a 2.87 ERA through 47 innings pitched.<\/p>\n

The star is an integral part to the Dodgers success, and will look to continue stacking trophies in the 2026 season as the Dodgers pursue the first three-peat in franchise history.<\/p>\n
