Kehoe’s plan to finance new stadiums for the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs in order to compete with Kansas’s offer. He hinted on May 16 that he will solely call a special session to keep the Chiefs and the Royals in Missouri.

Missouri’s existing bill would pay for up to half the cost of a new stadium for the Royals and renovations for the Chiefs.

This special session would be just in time for teams to decide to stay in Missouri.
