We\u2019re back with another daily question, and today\u2019s question is: Are any Brewers \u201cuntouchable\u201d in trade talks?<\/p>\n
The Brewers have become a franchise known for trading away players before their team-friendly contracts come to an end. In recent years, that list has grown to include Corbin Burnes, Josh Hader, Devin Williams, Freddy Peralta, and more. They\u2019ve even dealt from their surplus of younger players, trading Isaac Collins, Nick Mears, Tobias Myers, and Caleb Durbin over the last two-ish months.<\/p>\n
That leaves the question: Is there such a thing as an \u201cuntouchable\u201d player in trade talks? Obviously, any team would trade virtually any player if the return blew them out of the water, but more practically, do the Brewers have a truly untouchable player?<\/p>\n
If you ask me, the answer is yes. Given how much the franchise has come to value youth and defensive prowess, I can\u2019t really see a world in which Jackson Chourio, Brice Turang, and\/or Sal Frelick are dealt. I think it\u2019s far more likely that Turang and Frelick receive some form of contract extension to join Chourio as the building blocks of the Brewers in the coming decade or so. In fact, Jason already covered both Turang<\/a> and Frelick<\/a> in articles about extensions this offseason.<\/p>\n What do you think?
