The Pittsburgh Pirates are expected to remain on the market in their search for offensive help this offseason, as the organization looks to mix a young core that continues to take shape at the major-league level with some veteran bats, already adding multiple pieces.<\/p>\n
While much of the focus has centered on pitching development and internal growth, adding controllable position players is a wise decision, especially hitters who have shown that they\u2019re capable of making an impact at this level. Just Baseball\u2019s Jay Staph recently named Toronto Blue Jays infielder Davis Schneider as a possible trade candidate, adding that he\u2019d make a great piece for the Pirates. The Blue Jays are coming off a successful 2025 campaign, one in which their offense was incredible due to players like Schneider stepping up.<\/p>\n

From Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to George Springer, the pennant-winning franchise\u2019s offense connected on all cylinders. Aside from their superstars, the Blue Jays also got a lot of production from their unsung heroes, and one of those players was Davis Schneider. Although he only appeared in 82 of the team\u2019s 162 games, Schneider put up impressive numbers when he took the field. The 26-year-old slashed .234\/.361\/.436 with 11 homers and a 127 wRC+. He also walked nearly 16% of the time and displayed an elite barrel rate.<\/p>\n
