Ann Bose added 14 and Macy Bryant 13 points for the Broncos (19-7, 15-5).<\/p>\n<p>Hastings turned around a six-point first-quarter deficit, and didn&#8217;t trail again after Bose hit a 3 with 5:46 left before half.<\/p>\n<p>Morningside kept it within arm&#8217;s reach until midway through the fourth quarter, largely because HC hit just 36% of its shots. The Broncos ended the game on a 20-6 run.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey Kissinger was one point shy of a double-double, finishing with nine points and 13 rebounds. Mariyah Avila tallied five steals. Yates had six assists.<\/p>\n<p>Lily Vollertsen scored a game-high 21 for the Mustangs (13-14, 8-13).<\/p>\n<p>Men: Morningside 103, HC 91<\/p>\n<p>Hastings College never made up its halftime deficit against Morningside Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos played the second half even with the Mustangs (20-6, 17-2), but let them too loose in the opening 20 minutes of their 103-91 loss.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Boudreau led Hastings (7-19, 6-12) with 21 points and nine rebounds. DaRon Hall added 19 points and six boards. Christian Pujals led bench scoring with 13 points.<\/p>\n<p>But HC&#8217;s 52% shooting was no match for the Mustangs, who finished at 63%, with 13 3-pointers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tyson Odvody led six Mustangs in double figures with 19 points. Daniel Brocaille and Fitzy Grant each chipped in 17 points.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hastings hosts Doane Wednesday at Lynn Farrell Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Baseball<\/p>\n<p>JOPLIN, Mo. \u2014 Hastings College split with Mission (Mo.) Sunday in the first of two doubleheaders in Joplin. The Broncos lost 7-2 in game one, but bounced back to win 11-6 in the nightcap.<\/p>\n<p>A nine-run third inning in game two helped HC down the Patriots. Diego Martinez paced the offense with three hits. Kaden Steen drove in three runs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Connor Weber earned the mound victory, completing five innings, scattering seven hits and striking out three against three walks.<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos (3-4) were outhit 14-5 in the opener. Evan Chavez took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out two.<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos play two more games Monday against Mission.<\/p>\n<p>Softball<\/p>\n<p>McPHERSON, Kan. \u2014 Hastings College swept McPherson by scores of 10-0 and 7-3 on the road Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Kiera Brack allowed just one hit and struck out five in the first game, while her offense slugged 10 hits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Katyn Kappler, Sofia Carroll, Ana Medeiros and Jenna McClain had two hits each in the mercy rule win.<\/p>\n<p>The Broncos rallied in game two from a 3-2 deficit, scoring the final five runs of the game. Lauren Lee homered as part of a 3-for-3 outing.
