Green Bay Packers<\/a> quarterback Jordan Love showed some appreciation for another Wisconsin<\/a>\u00a0professional sports team, but fans criticized his effort.<\/p>\n

Love arrived to American Family Field in Milwaukee to throw out the first pitch at a Milwaukee Brewers<\/a> baseball game on Memorial Day against the Boston Red Sox<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the quarterback’s attempt at tossing the perfect pitch didn’t come to fruition.<\/p>\n

To his credit, Love’s throw did make it the whole 90 feet from the mound to the plate.<\/p>\n

The only issue was the toss was very high – to the point where it left the frame of the camera – and forced catcher Christian Yelich to stand up and reach to grab it.<\/p>\n

Plenty of NFL fans mocked Love for his poor effort – with many making fun of his accuracy.<\/p>\n

Love and the Packers made the playoffs last year, losing to the eventual champion Eagles<\/p>\n

‘Any time the ball leaves the frame it\u2019s not great,’ wrote The Athletic’s Packers beat writer Matt Schneidman.<\/p>\n

‘Watching athletes from other sports try and throw a baseball for forever make me cringe. Expected more from a QB,’ said one fan.<\/p>\n

‘This is pretty brutal from a QB,’ a different fan pointed out. Another remarked, ‘About as accurate as his average throw.’<\/p>\n

One fan joked, ‘I think Carly Rae Jepsen had a better first pitch’ – referring to the pop superstar’s rough first-pitch attempt.<\/p>\n

Love will hope that his throws in the NFL season will be much more accurate than this one.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last year, Love and the Packers went 11-6 and made the playoffs. They lost to the eventual Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Wild Card round.<\/p>\n
