Mets owner Steve Cohen said that he was \u201c\u2018absolutely annoyed\u2019 by last season\u2019s failures<\/a>,\u201d adding that while their roster overhaul \u201cmay have been difficult, he trusted [President of Baseball Operations] David Stearns\u2019 vision and was excited about their current crop.\u201d Cohen said that he \u201cfelt a measure of anxiety after the Mets parted ways with their core<\/a> without having their replacements lined up.\u201d Cohen: \u201cI felt what the fans felt. The worst part was these players left, and yet we hadn\u2019t figured out who was going to fill those positions. \u2026 I feel really good about what we accomplished\u201d (NEWSDAY 2\/16<\/a>). <\/p>\n
