{"id":576157,"date":"2026-02-16T20:47:51","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T20:47:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/576157\/"},"modified":"2026-02-16T20:47:51","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T20:47:51","slug":"i-felt-what-the-fans-felt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/576157\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018I felt what the fans felt\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-franchises \">Mets owner Steve Cohen said that he was \u201c\u2018absolutely annoyed\u2019 by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/09\/29\/mets-owner-steve-cohen-apologizes-to-fans-the-result-was-unacceptable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/09\/29\/mets-owner-steve-cohen-apologizes-to-fans-the-result-was-unacceptable\/\">last season\u2019s failures<\/a>,\u201d adding that while their roster overhaul \u201cmay have been difficult, he trusted [President of Baseball Operations] David Stearns\u2019 vision and was excited about their current crop.\u201d Cohen said that he \u201cfelt a measure of anxiety after the Mets <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/12\/11\/cohen-assures-mets-bigger-picture-in-offseason-plans-after-losing-star-players\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/12\/11\/cohen-assures-mets-bigger-picture-in-offseason-plans-after-losing-star-players\/\">parted ways with their core<\/a> without having their replacements lined up.\u201d Cohen: \u201cI felt what the fans felt.
