Craig Biggio is a player who needs no introduction. The Hall of Famer, who spent his entire career with the Houston Astros<\/a>, is considered by many to be one of the greats in Houston sports history. Now, his son will have the chance to extend the storied Biggio legacy in Houston.<\/p>\n

Cavan Biggio signs with the Astros on a minor league deal<\/p>\n

Cavan Biggio started off his MLB career with the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a>, where he shined in his rookie year, earning a 3.1 bWAR<\/a> and receiving Rookie of the Year consideration.<\/p>\n

He never replicated the heights he reached in 2019 with the Blue Jays, and he has recently played for the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>, Atlanta Braves<\/a>, and the Kansas City Royals<\/a>. His minor-league deal with the Astros also has an invitation to major-league camp<\/a>, so there\u2019s hope that he could compete for a roster spot if he impresses in the spring.<\/p>\n
