KJ Scobey had four hits and drove in three runs as South Carolina defeated Wofford 8-3.<\/p>\n
The Gamecocks improved to 3-1 on the season, while Wofford fell to 3-1.<\/p>\n
The Gamecocks pounded out 10 hits as Scobey and Talmadge LeCroy each had home runs during the game.<\/p>\n
Connor Chicoli picked up his first win of the season, giving up five hits, one run, while striking out four batters.<\/p>\n
Charleston Southern 12, North Florida 4<\/p>\n
Chandler Tuupo had three hits and drove in three runs as Charleston Southern remained unbeaten on the young season with a 12-4 win over North Florida on Feb. 17.<\/p>\n
The Bucs (4-0) collected seven hits, including Tuupo\u2019s solo home run in the first inning. Charleston Southern, which led 3-0 after two innings, put the game out of reach with an eight-run third inning to grab an 11-0 advantage.<\/p>\n
Kale Hopke picked up the victory, going four innings, giving up two runs, while striking out seven batters.<\/p>\n
