Texas Rangers Hall of Fame radio announcer and Preston Hollow neighbor, Eric Nadel<\/a>, will soon celebrate his 75th birthday. To mark the occasion, he\u2019ll host a double-bill concert at the Longhorn Ballroom on Thursday, May 14, benefitting the Grant Halliburton Foundation<\/a>. The event will combine celebration and personal significance for the legendary local broadcaster.<\/p>\n Nadel\u2019s voice has become synonymous with the Texas Rangers throughout his 48-year radio career. He is also well-known for his mental health advocacy, and has discussed publicly his own struggles with anxiety, insomnia, and depression. This year will mark his 14th annual\u00a0Eric Nadel Birthday Benefit Concert<\/a>, which is held each year as a fundraiser for local organizations focusing on mental health education and services.<\/p>\n The Grant Halliburton Foundation will return as concert beneficiary in 2026, which also represents its 20th anniversary year. Based in Dallas, the nonprofit provides mental health education, training, and support, largely focused on suicide prevention.
