He made his television debut on Friday afternoon alongside play-by-play voice <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/tag\/kevin-brown\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kevin Brown<\/a> for the Orioles\u2019 Grapefruit League opener against the New York Yankees.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">MASN welcomes Ryan Ripken to our broadcast team!<\/p>\n<p>Ryan will be serving as color analyst for select games this year, and will be making his debut with Kevin Brown today at 1 p.m. for the O\u2019s first spring training game on MASN. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yq4lrn9ZlU\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/yq4lrn9ZlU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Orioles on MASN (@masnOrioles) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/masnOrioles\/status\/2024877457057198455?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">February 20, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The younger Ripken played seven seasons in the minor leagues as a first baseman \u2014 four years in the Orioles organization after spending three with the Nationals \u2014 before retiring in 2021. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 15th round of the 2014 draft and spent three seasons in their system before signing with the Orioles organization in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>After stepping away from playing, Ripken built a media presence in Baltimore through multiple platforms. He hosts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@RYANRIPKENMEDIA\/videos\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Ryan Ripken Show<\/a>, a YouTube program that has attracted more than 24,000 subscribers and features three co-hosts who Baltimore Magazine\u2019s Corey McLaughlin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baltimoremagazine.com\/section\/sports\/ryan-ripken-carves-new-path-sports-broadcasting-podcast-outside-of-baseball\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">described as<\/a> an \u201cirreverent millennial crew.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ripken also appears regularly on 105.7 The Fan as part of the station\u2019s\u00a0Baltimore Baseball Tonight pregame show rotation and has been an analyst on WBFF Fox45, where he\u00a0co-hosted a weekly Orioles podcast,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/1aK0eHoEFUs5ZJxcw4VGl8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rip &amp; Roc<\/a>,\u00a0with Fox45 sports anchor Rocco DiSangro.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear exactly how many games Ripken will call or whether he\u2019ll work primarily during certain stretches of the season. MASN\u2019s announcement specified \u201cselect games\u201d without providing further details.
