Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong in late January paid $1.195 million for a two-bedroom, 2,200-square-foot condominium in the Loop.<\/p>\n
Crow-Armstrong, 23, had a breakout year last year \u2014 which was his second full season in the major leagues \u2014 and he won a Gold Glove Award and was named an All-Star. He is on the cover of the March Chicago magazine.<\/p>\n
In the Loop, Crow-Armstrong bought a ninth-floor penthouse with 2\u00bd-bathrooms, Venetian plaster columns, architectural sconces, silver leaf mirrors in the gallery and diagonal hardwood flooring. The condo also has new timber ceilings in the living room and primary bedroom suite, a hall of mirrors and a Calypso quartzite gas fireplace in the living room. Other features include a powder room with a Macassar ebony vanity and a custom Swarovski crystal chandelier and a primary bedroom suite with walls faded in sound-absorbing raw silk and lined draperies. The kitchen has lizard-embossed, custom dyed leather cabinetry, Cambria quartz countertops and two Sub-Zero refrigerators, along with appliances from Viking and Bosch.<\/p>\n
Outside on the 1,000-square-foot terrace are new pavers, custom exterior lighting, irrigation and a gas line.<\/p>\n
The unit had been listed in 2024 for $1,495,000 before going off the market. It then was re-listed last year for $1,225,000, and it underwent a price cut to $1,195,000 in November.<\/p>\n
Real estate agent Tracey Hill, who represented Crow-Armstrong, declined to comment on her client\u2019s purchase.<\/p>\n
The unit had a property tax bill of $16,120 in the 2024 tax year. It also comes with $2,055-per-month homeowners association dues.<\/p>\n
