{"id":589848,"date":"2026-02-24T08:50:50","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T08:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/589848\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T08:50:50","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T08:50:50","slug":"marlins-3b-graham-pauley-shut-down-has-mri-on-right-forearm-nfl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/589848\/","title":{"rendered":"Marlins 3B Graham Pauley shut down, has MRI on right forearm | NFL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JUPITER, Fla. \u2014 Graham Pauley&#8217;s bid to start at third base for the Miami Marlins is on hold due to right forearm tightness.<\/p>\n<p>Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said Pauley had an MRI on Monday morning and has been shut down pending the results.<\/p>\n<p>Pauley is a left-hander hitter and the soreness is in his throwing arm.<\/p>\n<p>Pauley was expected to compete with Connor Norby at third base but has not appeared in a spring game due to the persistent tightness in his forearm.<\/p>\n<p>Pauley, 25, hit .224 with four homers in 161 at-bats as a rookie in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>McCullough told <a href=\"http:\/\/MLB.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MLB.com<\/a> some discomfort at the start of spring training is not unusual for players. McCullough said Pauley&#8217;s forearm tightness &#8220;just didn\u2019t get any better over the course of a couple days. &#8230; He\u2019s going to be shut down from baseball until we get a clearer picture on what\u2019s happening.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 The Associated Press.
