Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani<\/a> is being honored with a commemorative watch.<\/p>\n

Japanese watch company Seiko announced that they\u2019ve crafted a Seiko Prospex watch to celebrate the two-way star, as reported by Fashionsnap<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The watch is based on the \u201cDivers 1965 Heritage Model,\u201d the outlet reported, and it features multiple nods to Ohtani and his time with the Dodgers.<\/p>\n

The watch comes in two dial colors \u2014 \u201cgray and blue inspired by the Los Angeles Dodgers\u2019 visiting uniform,\u201d Fashionsnap wrote \u2014 with only 1,700 watches available in each color, a nod to Ohtani\u2019s No. 17 jersey.<\/p>\n

In honor of the back-to-back World Series champion and MVP, the watch also has gold accents on the \u201cbezel, crown, hands, and indices.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ohtani\u2019s No. 17 is also on the crown, and the clasp features his signature.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the timepiece comes in a special box adorned with another Ohtani signature.<\/p>\n

How Can You Get One?<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for many fans in Southern California, the watch will be available for purchase at stores in Japan beginning April 24, with Seiko\u2019s website<\/a> indicating it\u2019s \u201cJapan-limited.\u201d<\/p>\n

It sells for 286,000 yen, which equates to more than $1,800.<\/p>\n

Of course, that figure doesn\u2019t include the cost of shipping from Japan or a plane ticket to go pick it up yourself.<\/p>\n

Ohtani\u2019s Had Huge Impact on the Dodgers and Baseball<\/p>\n

The two-way star is on an enormous $700 million contract, but with much of that payment deferred by the team, Ohtani has been ubiquitous in the endorsement space.<\/p>\n

He earned more endorsement money<\/a> than any athlete last year, and he\u2019s expanded into new areas as well.<\/p>\n

Ohtani recently wrote a book about his beloved dog<\/a>, Decoy, titled \u201cDecoy Saves Opening Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

And all of that is in addition to historic production on the field.<\/p>\n

From being the first player ever to join the 50-50 club in 2024 to boasting a three home run, 10 strikeout game in the playoffs in 2025, Ohtani has proven he\u2019s worth the enormous contract.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers would agree as well.
