{"id":594006,"date":"2026-02-26T12:59:22","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T12:59:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/594006\/"},"modified":"2026-02-26T12:59:22","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T12:59:22","slug":"pete-crow-armstrong-doubles-down-on-comments-about-dodgers-fans-in-latest-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/594006\/","title":{"rendered":"Pete Crow-Armstrong doubles down on comments about Dodgers fans in latest interview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong had an opportunity to clarify his <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/24\/sports\/cubs-all-star-pete-crow-armstrong-takes-shot-at-dodgers-fans\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">comments about Los Angeles Dodgers fans<\/a> that appeared in an article inside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagomag.com\/chicago-magazine\/march-2026\/welcome-to-the-pca-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">Chicago Magazine recently.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Instead, he added gasoline to the fire.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old All-Star, who grew up in the shadow of Los Angeles Dodgers blue, doubled down this week on his criticism of Dodgers fans. He told Foul Territory that he remembers \u201cnasty stuff\u201d in the stands as a kid, invoking the brutal <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2015\/04\/08\/giants-fan-beat-into-coma-stiffed-by-insurer-on-most-of-18m-award\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2011 beating of Bryan Stow<\/a> as something that stuck with him. He insisted his comments weren\u2019t about the players or the organization \u2014 only the fanbase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI grew up going to <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/18\/opinion\/dodgers-may-trigger-baseballs-next-labor-war\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dodgers games<\/a> when they weren\u2019t always good. Their fans go in phases. Putting the Giants fan in the coma stuck with me as a kid. Sitting in the stands, nasty stuff goes on. Those are two very different accusations. One is about engagement. Every stadium has its shadows. But when you grow up near Dodger Stadium and choose to keep swinging at its people, you better be ready for the fastball back at your face.<\/p>\n<p>Good thing Crow-Armstrong has crushed a few of those into the pavilion before.
