Instagram\/Taryn Hatcher <\/p>\n<p>Hatcher worked in-stadium as a sideline reporter for the Phillies, as well as for 76ers games.<\/p>\n<p>A South new Jersey native, she joined NBCSP in 2018,\u00a0starting as the Flyers rinkside reporter before moving to host the pre- and postgame studio shows, before landing the Phillies sideline role.<\/p>\n<p>NBC Sports Philadelphia released its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com\/mlb\/philadelphia-phillies\/spring-training-broadcast-schedule-announcers-reporters\/716214\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">spring training coverage plans<\/a> last week, but Hatcher\u2019s name was not included. <\/p>\n<p>The network chose not to renew her contract after it expired following the 2025 season and eliminated the position, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/phillies\/phillies-spring-training-tv-schedule-game-today-channel-time-streaming-20260220.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia Inquirer reported<\/a> Friday.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.71386719;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38609264\" width=\"421\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Hatcher-2.jpg\" alt=\"Taryn Hatcher joined NBCSP in 2018. \" class=\"wp-image-38609264\"  \/>Taryn Hatcher joined NBCSP in 2018.  Instagram\/Taryn Hatcher <\/p>\n<p>Hatcher addressed the news in a Saturday <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TarynNBCS\/status\/2025193825392583147?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">post on X<\/a>, calling it \u201cheartbreaking,\u201d while explaining what \u201cI was told\u201d about the matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCat\u2019s out of the bag, so I\u2019ll keep this short and sweet as possible,\u201d Hatcher wrote. \u201cSadly, I won\u2019t be returning on Phillies coverage this season. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the conclusion of the 2025 season, I was told that my role on the sidelines at NBCSP was being eliminated moving forward. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the news was pretty heartbreaking, I have to acknowledge that it was a really fun run. I loved every second of it.
