Mandatory Credit: Patrick Gorski-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>According to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, outfielder Randal Grichuk will join the New York Yankees this year.<\/p>\n<p>Grichuk first signed with the Diamondbacks in 2024 and split time between the outfield and the designated hitter spot. Most notably, he was often used as a pinch hitter in late-game situations whenever a left-handed reliever entered the game \u2014 a role he has become known for, thanks to his ability to crush left-handed pitching.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, the former Diamondback had a .319 average against lefties with a .914 OPS.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"standard-img\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/63222d07dba0f6377278a290cd247732.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>May 24, 2025; St. Louis, Missouri, USA; Arizona Diamondbacks right fielder Randal Grichuk (15) hits a one run double against the St. Louis Cardinals during the eighth inning at Busch Stadium.
