The Minnesota Twins have officially placed right-handed starting pitcher Pablo Lpez on the 60-day IL after he underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery yesterday, the team announced<\/a>. In 38 Triple-A innings last season, he pitched to an outstanding 2.84 ERA with 50 strikeouts and 21 walks.
