ARLINGTON \u2014 UCLA jumped on Texas A&M baseball<\/a> early Saturday and never looked back in the 11-1 win.<\/p>\n

The Bruins (8-3) started the game with three consecutive hits in the bottom of the first inning. From there, Mulivai Levu drove in the game’s first run before UCLA added three more in the opening inning.<\/p>\n

Aggies (9-1) designated hitter Jake Duer blasted a solo shot in the second inning to cut into the deficit, scoring their only run of the night. A&M finished with just two hits.<\/p>\n

The Bruins added two more in the second, one run in the fifth, plus four more in the sixth, highlighted by outfielder Will Gasparino\u2019s three-run home run, to push them to the 11-1 margin.<\/p>\n

Aggies\u2019 starting pitcher Weston Moss was roughed up against the UCLA lineup. The right-hander lasted just two innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out one with three walks on 47 pitches.<\/p>\n

The Bruins\u2019 starting pitcher, Michael Barnett, was strong in his outing. He lasted five innings, allowing one run and one hit and walking three while striking out four on 78pitches.<\/p>\n

Next up for A&M is Sunday, as Aiden Sims gets the ball vs Arizona State.<\/p>\n

A Levu single was followed by a Martin walk. From there, Brennan ripped a double to right field to add another run. Gasparino blasted a three-run home run to left-center field to push the Bruins’ lead to 10.<\/p>\n

Sorrell struck out swinging to start the inning. From there, Grahovac got on with a one-out single. A Duer double-play ball ended the frame.<\/p>\n

Dugger struck out, followed by Gasparino getting on base due to an E6 but is thrown out at second trying to steal. Cadiz hit a two-out double and was then driven in by West.<\/p>\n

A Harrison groundout, Farr flyout and a Kiel II groundout ended the inning 1-2-3.<\/p>\n

A one-out single by Martin was followed by a Brennan strikeout, and an Aguayo flyout.<\/p>\n

A one-out walk by Duer was followed by a two-out walk by Kellner. Both were squandered as they were left stranded due to a Chestnut swinging strikeout.<\/p>\n

Moss’s day is done as A&M turned to Gavin Lyons.\u00a0A lead-off single was followed by two pop-outs and a two-out single. Lyons hit West to load the bases, but Lyons worked around the jam.<\/p>\n

Harrison led off with a swinging strikeout before Farr grounded out to second. Kiel II was hit by a pitch with two outs, leading to Sorrell to ground out to second to end the frame.<\/p>\n

A Gasparino single was followed by a Cadiz walk. From there Moss scrapped to two outs, but the Bruins worked the bases loaded before Martin slapped a single up the middle to drive in two runs.<\/p>\n

Duer got A&M on the board with a solo blast to right-center field, but that was all the offense it mustered.<\/p>\n

The Bruins jumped on Moss early with three consecutive singles that drove in the game’s first run. From there, a sac fly from Brennan brought home another run. Moss then struck out Aguayo before Dugger got thrown out at second trying to leg out a double, but drove in another two runs.<\/p>\n

Kiel II led off the game by striking out looking. From there, Sorrell worked a walk before Grahovac flew out to the wall and Sorrell got caught out at first being aggressive on the base path.<\/p>\n
