One solid swing was enough to get Yankees fans talking. During an 11 to 1 exhibition win over Team Panama at George M. Steinbrenner Field, Stanton showed early signs that his bat speed and strength are still there. For fans watching closely, it felt like a steady and encouraging start to the spring. There had been curiosity about how he would look in live action. Stanton spent much of camp facing simulated pitching on the Trajekt machine. While that helps with preparation, real games bring different timing and pressure. Supporters wanted to see how he handled actual pitching in a game setting.

Giancarlo Stanton hit the ball hard to left field for a single in his first spring at bat

“Nothing, at the end of the day, is like seeing a live arm,” Stanton said. “Being in a position in a game with fans, that extra – you can’t simulate. You can visualize it, but until you do it, it’s different.”The hit itself was simple but meaningful. The ball came off his bat firmly and carried into left field. It was not about distance. It was about clean contact. Fans reacted quickly online, saying the swing looked smooth and controlled. Some said the sound off the bat was the most encouraging part of the afternoon. One fan commented, “he’s so fast.”Stanton has also been open about dealing with epicondylitis in both elbows. He once admitted he cannot “open a bag of chips” without discomfort. Even so, he continues to focus on producing.“You’ve got to come in and make an impact,” Stanton said. “I just tried to be impactful right away and not worry about, ‘Hey, I only had this.’ Whatever. No one cares. Get it done.”Supporters pointed out how strong he finished last season, hitting 24 home runs after July 2. That stretch reminded everyone how quickly he can change a game.Pitcher Max Fried also made his spring appearance and said it felt different being in a real game. “Nothing can recreate getting into a game with an umpire and different jerseys,” Fried said. “I was able to check the boxes.”For Yankees fans, this was just one spring game. But it gave them something simple and important. Stanton looked comfortable. He looked strong. And for now, that is enough to build early hope for the season ahead.

Giancarlo Stanton (Image via: Jerome Miron-Imagn Images) Giancarlo Stanton did not need a home run to make an…

[2376
5,17303,21434,310,108,4,1690,62,2548,2547,151,78631,142
0":"post-605041","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-york-yankees","8":"tag-baseball","9":"tag-baseball-fans","10":"tag-exhibition-game","11":"tag-giancarlo-stanton","12":"tag-max-fried","13":"tag-mlb","14":"tag-new-york","15":"tag-new-york-yankees","16":"tag-newyork","17":"tag-newyorkyankees","18":"tag-spring-training","19":"tag-trajekt-machine","20":"tag-yankees
["GET
