(WILX) &#8211; According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/frontofficesports.com\/jason-benetti-top-nbc-mlb-voice\/?utm_source=Twitter&amp;utm_medium=Article&amp;utm_campaign=Editorial\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/frontofficesports.com\/jason-benetti-top-nbc-mlb-voice\/?utm_source=Twitter&amp;utm_medium=Article&amp;utm_campaign=Editorial\">report from Front Office Sports<\/a>, NBC will hire Tigers play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti to be the lead voice of the network\u2019s coverage of Major League Baseball starting this spring. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Benetti is expected to call games as part of NBC\u2019s \u2018Sunday Night Baseball\u2019 throughout the season as well as the opening night game on Thursday, March 26th between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks. Benetti is also expected to keep his role as the Tigers\u2019 play-by-play announcer. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Benetti came to the Tigers after spending 8 seasons calling games for the Chicago White Sox.
