Has a new suitor for Kyler Murray entered the conversation?<\/p>\n

While Kyler Murray’s next team odds<\/a> favor the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins for next season, a team in another sport is leaving open the possibility to be the soon-to-be free agent<\/a> NFL quarterback’s next destination.<\/p>\n

MLB’s Athletics.<\/p>\n

Murray was drafted by the A’s with the No. 9 pick in the 2018 MLB Draft.<\/p>\n

“Kyler is an elite NFL quarterback and I\u2019m sure there are plenty of opportunities for him to continue his football career,\u201d Athletics GM David Forst told MLB.com<\/a>. \u201cThat said, he and his baseball representatives know that we\u2019re always open to him exploring a return to baseball with the A\u2019s if that time ever comes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Murray hit .296 with 10 home runs and 47 RBIs in 51 games for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2018.<\/p>\n

Could he really make a return to baseball next season?<\/p>\n

Speculation took off after Forst’s comments, with many wondering if it could actually happen.<\/p>\n

We wouldn’t count on it. But the Athletics apparently are still not closing the door on Murray, 28, even after he has played seven years in the NFL.<\/p>\n
