A woman from North Carolina is suing the Los Angeles Dodgers after she was hit in the shoulder by a BuzzBall drink container during a game last August. She is representing herself in the lawsuit and is claiming that the team was negligent.<\/p>\n

The woman says that during the game, someone threw, dropped, or otherwise launched a BuzzBall beverage from an elevated seating or standing area. The container, which is round and roughly the size of a baseball, hit her directly in the shoulder with significant force.<\/p>\n

According to BroBible<\/a>, her complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the impact caused her immediate discomfort, bruising, swelling, and a loss of normal use of her arm. She also claims the incident severely disrupted her family\u2019s four-day vacation to Los Angeles, including a planned trip to Disneyland.<\/p>\n

She also states that her two young children, who were present at the game, experienced \u201cfear, shock, and emotional distress\u201d after watching their mother get struck by the flying BuzzBall. Sports venues across the country are facing growing scrutiny over fan safety, much like controversial decisions shaking up college football<\/a> that have kept fans talking.<\/p>\n

Her main argument against the Dodgers is that by selling alcohol in \u201ccontainers capable of being thrown or falling,\u201d the team created a \u201cdangerous condition\u201d at the stadium. She believes the Dodgers should have recognized this as a \u201cforeseeable risk of harm to spectators.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

She also claims the team failed to warn her and other attendees about this potential danger. This lawsuit is one of several recent incidents sparking public debate, similar to how an offensive SNL Tourette\u2019s parody sketch<\/a> triggered widespread backlash online.<\/p>\n

Because of all this, she is seeking unspecified damages for the mental and physical suffering she says she endured as a result of the incident. The lawsuit claims the injuries not only caused significant pain but also disrupted what was supposed to be a memorable trip, leading to the loss of enjoyment of her vacation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to compensation for that disruption, she is also asking to recover the costs tied to her medical treatment, including both the expenses she has already incurred and any future care that may be required as she continues to recover. She is also requesting a trial by jury.
