MediaNews Group via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The crash left Smith\u2019s car destroyed after another vehicle traveling at about 90 miles per hour hit him. The driver of that vehicle is being pursued by police.<\/p>\n<p>During the 70-year-old\u2019s first radio broadcast back Wednesday, he discussed the \u201charrowing\u201d accident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel extremely fortunate to be on the air with you,\u201d he said, per the Register. \u201cThis was a harrowing experience for me and my family, but I am ready to go and give it a test today.
