Major League Baseball returned to Southern Nevada this weekend as the Los Angeles Angels and Oakland Athletics faced off during Big League Weekend at Las Vegas Ballpark.<\/p>\n
The Angels wasted little time putting pressure on the A\u2019s offense, building an early lead and keeping the momentum going into the middle innings.<\/p>\n
In the top of the fifth inning, the Angels strung together several hits to extend their lead. Zach Neto Teodosio got things started with a single to right field before advancing to second on a stolen base.<\/p>\n
The rally continued when Logan O\u2019Hoppe delivered a single to left, putting runners in scoring position. Moments later, Jo Adell ripped a double to left field, keeping the inning alive and setting up another scoring opportunity for Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
With two outs, Nick Madrigal came through with an RBI single to left, allowing Teodosio to cross the plate and push the Angels\u2019 lead to 3-0.<\/p>\n
The Angels collected four hits in the inning as they continued to apply pressure on the Athletics pitching staff.<\/p>\n
Big League Weekend gives Las Vegas fans a chance to see Major League talent up close as the Athletics continue preparing for their future move to Southern Nevada.<\/p>\n
