Long-time Dallas Morning News Texas Rangers<\/a> beat writer Evan Grant has teamed up with Texas Rangers senior advisor and team historian John Blake for a new podcast. Our two hosts bring nearly 70 years of combined experience covering the Texas Rangers to the pod. <\/p>\n

Each week, Evan and John will be joined by at least one guest from the Rangers\u2019 past or present. They\u2019ll dive into some historical items, talk about the state of the current team and, most importantly, try to have a little fun. <\/p>\n

Evan and John break down a 1-5 road trip and what the addition of Alejandro Osuna might mean in both the short- and long-term. Jake Burger joins the guys to explain the role of his minor league assignment, if there is divine intervention involved in his turnaround and exactly how as a pro player he ended up playing in a college league during the pandemic. And finally John cracks open the archives to tell a Billy Martin story, which usually involves fisticuffs, and the number of times the Rangers appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Because at one point, that was a big deal.<\/p>\n
