The Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> will never shy away from making a major move when they believe it can strengthen their chances of winning another championship, looking to go back-to-back-to-back.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why many seem to think they can still go out and make a trade.<\/p>\n

In a recent proposal, Ryan Shea of Sports Illustrated suggested a blockbuster trade that would send Sandy Alcantara from the Miami Marlins<\/a> to Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Dodgers Acquire: Alcantara<\/p>\n

Marlins Acquire: Zyhir Hope, Eduardo Quintero, Mike Sirota, Alex Freeland<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dodgers would pursue Sandy Alc\u00e1ntara because he provides an immediate, high-impact upgrade to their rotation. As a frontline starter under team control through 2027, Alc\u00e1ntara offers playoff-ready performance at a cost-controlled rate, which is extremely valuable for a team aiming for a deep postseason run.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe strengthens the rotation behind or alongside their existing aces, giving the Dodgers more flexibility in managing innings and matchups in high-leverage playoff situations,\u201d he wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alcantara has dealt with injuries in recent years, but threw in 31 games a season ago. He posted an ERA of 5.36, the worst of his career.<\/p>\n

However, this is exactly the type of move the Dodgers are known for making. While the price would be a bit much, Los Angeles has one of the best farm systems in the league and could afford to move multiple prospects for a proven ace.<\/p>\n

Alcantara has also shown that he can be the best starter in baseball on any given day.<\/p>\n
