Buck Martinez\u2019s place in Toronto Blue Jays history \u2014 first as a player, then a manager, and primarily as a TV analyst \u2014 can never be replaced. But the Blue Jays\u2019 television network has reportedly identified Martinez\u2019s successor.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0was in the analyst\u2019s chair<\/a>\u00a0for the network\u2019s broadcast of Cal Ripken\u2019s 2,131st consecutive game \u2014 a game for which Martinez\u00a0collected a Sports Emmy<\/a>.<\/p>\n However, Martinez is primarily identified with the Blue Jays, the team he played for over the final six seasons of a 17-year MLB<\/a> career.
