{"id":622125,"date":"2026-03-13T18:50:33","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T18:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/622125\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T18:50:33","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T18:50:33","slug":"brewers-unveil-plan-to-combat-gameday-congestion-during-i-94-construction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/622125\/","title":{"rendered":"Brewers unveil plan to combat gameday congestion during I-94 construction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MILWAUKEE, Wis. \u2013 The Milwaukee Brewers are planning ahead to help with traffic flow on game days amid the ongoing I-94 construction project.<\/p>\n<p>In an attempt to help lessen the anticipated congestion during Brewers games at American Family Field this season, the team is hiring three extra Sheriff squads to manage outbound traffic, as well as an onsite tow service to clear stalled vehicles or accidents. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are working closely with the Department of Transportation to make sure fans have the information and support they need,\u201d said Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger in a press release. \u201cWe\u2019re committed to doing our part to make sure the fan experience in arriving and leaving the ballpark is convenient, efficient and safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eastbound I-94 near the ballpark is expected to re-open to three lanes beginning next week, but fans driving to the game are still encouraged to plan extra time for their trip. The site will also be accessible through QR codes found throughout the ballpark.<\/p>\n<p>The release indicated the team is also considering \u201coptional postgame experiences for fans\u201d that would allow for progressive egress out of parking lots. <\/p>\n<p>Alternate Transportation Options<\/p>\n<p>For fans who don\u2019t want to navigate the expected congestion, there are other ways to get to and from American Family Field.<\/p>\n<p>Many fans elect to use a gameday shuttle from an area bar or restaurant to get to the game. Old World 3rd St.)<\/p>\n<p>Fans are encouraged to call ahead and confirm shuttle availability.<\/p>\n<p>The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) has two routes with stops near the ballpark: CONNECT1 Bus Rapid Transit stops at Wisconsin Avenue &amp; 44th Street, while Route 18 has a stop at National Avenue &amp; 43rd Street. MCTS formerly operated its own dedicated \u201cBrewers Line\u201d (Route 90), but it was discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic and formally eliminated ahead of the 2022 season.<\/p>\n<p>For cyclists, a Bublr Bike Station is located on the walkway near the Gantner Lot with 23 docking stations, and racks are located near Helfaer Field, the Left Field Gate entrance, the Club Express entrance, and the Clock Tower entrance.
