Kyren Paris was third with 17 starts. But the Angels optioned both Moore and Paris to Triple-A on Saturday, so neither will open the season as the Angels\u2019 starting second baseman.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"373\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"standard-img\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/f55a0e3267eb045620eea2cbe997187a.jpeg\"\/>Who Are the Potential Starting Second Basemen?<\/p>\n<p>The top option for second base is non-roster invitee Adam Frazier. He signed a minor league contract with the Angels in February and bats left-handed. Oswald Peraza and Vaughn Grissom are also contenders for the position, and both bat right-handed and are out of minor league options.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to that trio, veteran Chris Taylor could spend some time at second base this season.
