And De La Cruz has done it in 314 games flat, having debuted less than two years ago.

The shortstop hit his first home run 436 feet to straightaway centerfield to tie the game, and his 451-foot rocket shot to right-center hit high into the stadium’s famous fountains.

He’s the first Reds player in the 11th-season of the Statcast era to hit two home runs of at least 435 feet in one game.

And just for good measure, here’s one more place in Reds history the young shortstop found himself Tuesday with his 10th and 11th home runs of the season:

He’s now one of just four players with at least 10 homers and 17 steals in the team’s first 56 games, joining a list that includes Hall of Famer Joe Morgan (1976) and Reds legend Eric Davis (1987). Chris Sabo also did it during the Reds’ 1990 championship season.

This story was updated to add a video.

Elly De La Cruz video from historic home run night in Kansas City Cincinnati Reds SS Elly De…

[2400
5,535,50,4259,937,1166,1164,1163,1177,936,2123,1165,4,5958,169,300,316,829,1219,301,536,1230,185,317
0":"post-63802","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-cincinnati-reds","8":"tag-baseball","9":"tag-cincinnati","10":"tag-cincinnati-reds","11":"tag-cincinnatireds","12":"tag-city","13":"tag-cruz","14":"tag-de","15":"tag-elly","16":"tag-elly-de-la-cruz","17":"tag-kansas","18":"tag-kansas-city","19":"tag-la","20":"tag-mlb","21":"tag-mo","22":"tag-news","23":"tag-overall","24":"tag-overall-positive","25":"tag-pete","26":"tag-pete-rose","27":"tag-positive","28":"tag-reds","29":"tag-rose","30":"tag-sports","31":"tag-sports-news
["GET
