While Sunday’s sale \u200bdid not come close to matching the price of other jerseys \u2014\u00a0Babe \u2060Ruth’s “called shot” jersey from the 1932 World Series \u2060went for $24.12 million in 2024, while other examples from\u00a0Jackie Robinson and Mickey Mantle both sold for\u00a0\u200bmore than $4 million\u00a0\u2014\u00a0it \u2060does raise the chances for future game-worn\u00a0Ohtani jersey sales from \u2060a major \u200bMLB event to perhaps match \u200bor eclipse Robinson and Mantle in the future.<\/p>\n
And \u200bjust \u200clast Thursday, a one-of-a-kind 2025 Topps MVP gold Logoman patch autographed card of Ohtani and New York Yankees slugger \u200cAaron Judge sold for $2.16 million via auction through Fanatics Premier. The card features special gold-embellished MLB logo jersey patches worn by \u200beach \u200breigning MVP.<\/p>\n
That sale marked the \u200bsecond time a Judge card has \u2060sold for more than $1 million, but a solo Ohtani 2025 Topps Chrome one-of-one gold Logoman patch autographed card sold through \u200bFanatic Premier fetched $3 million.<\/p>\n
