If you\u2019re ready to join the Seattle Mariners on their quest, leave the car and home and let transit take you to T-Mobile Park this season.<\/p>\n<p>Home Run champ Cal Raleigh, Cy Young candidates Bryan Woo and Logan Gilbert and Juliooooo Rodr\u00edguez take the field on Thursday, March 26 against the Cleveland Guardians. It\u2019s the first of 81 games that will bring Tigers, Bears (well Chicago Cubs) and two varieties of Reds (Boston and Cincinnati) to T-Mobile \u2013and of course the Toronto Blue Jays, the team that broke our hearts. Add Western Division rivals Houston and Texas and there\u2019s plenty of reasons to make your way to SODO for some summer fun.<\/p>\n<p>Pack your glove\u2014and some warm clothes for the first couple of weeks\u2014but keep your land vehicle \u201canchored\u201d at home. Getting to T-Mobile Park using transit can be as easy as J-Rod nailing a runner at home from center field!<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t get caught off base, map out your route<\/p>\n<p>King County Metro\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/en\/dept\/metro\/rider-tools\/local-sports#toc-T-Mobile-Park\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">one-stop shop<\/a> has everything you need to take transit to the game.<\/p>\n<p>Start your game day by planning your trip to the game. Link light rail a nod to that tradition. If you\u2019re coming from south King County, north Seattle or from the Eastside, Link light rail is an awesome connection to T-Mobile.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, March 28 \u2013 two days after the start of the season \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soundtransit.org\/crosslake\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sound Transit\u2019s 2 Line<\/a> begins service, taking fans between the Eastside and T-Mobile Park. Fans will be able to board 2 Line trains at International District\/Chinatown Station to travel to the Eastside.<\/p>\n<p>Link will bring you from Lynnwood, Federal Way or Redmond to a short walk, roll or scoot to home plate! Metro is a great \u201cdouble play\u201d combo with routes that will connect you to the light rail stops along the 1 and 2 Lines.<\/p>\n<p>Land Ho! For the second season in a row, fans coming from Vashon for afternoon games can use the water taxi to get to and from games (if the game doesn\u2019t go into extra innings).<\/p>\n<p>Remember, Water Taxi service ends for both West Seattle and Vashon at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. But don\u2019t worry, after the game, take a stroll back to Alaskan Way S. at S. Jackson St. and catch a bus back to West Seattle, with the RapidRide C Line (which connects with the Washington State Ferry to Vashon), the RapidRide H Line or other routes. Water Taxi riders should also be on the lookout for special weeknight service for some games\u2014details on those trips will come later this spring.<\/p>\n<p>As summer heats up, West Seattle fans will be able to take the water taxi to West Seattle on Friday and Saturday nights, and Vashon fans can ride the waves on Saturday afternoons to catch a game under the sun!<\/p>\n<p>How to pay:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t want to miss a pitch, do you? Then have your card ready! ORCA\u00a0has launched its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/info.myorca.com\/contactless\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">new\u00a0Tap to Pay\u00a0feature<\/a>\u00a0allowing riders to use\u00a0credit and\u00a0debit cards and digital wallets\u00a0to pay for transit across the\u00a0Puget Sound region.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a professional rider, you already have your ORCA Card to help keep things moving. If you want to use your mobile device to pay your fare, download the <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/en\/dept\/metro\/fares-and-payment\/ways-to-pay\/transit-go-ticket\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Transit GO Ticket<\/a> app on your mobile device prior to boarding. Your personal ORCA card can be added to your Google Wallet on Android devices so you can tap your phone to pay your fare.<\/p>\n<p>If you ride the bus to the game, the adult fare is $3, but we have several options that can <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/en\/dept\/metro\/fares-and-payment\/reduced-fares\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reduce your fare<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With an ORCA Card, that $3 fare will let you transfer between bus and light rail.<\/p>\n<p>Water Taxi fare for adults\u00a0to West Seattle is\u00a0$6.25 one way ($5.25 with an ORCA card). Fares to Vashon are $7 for adults ($6 with an ORCA card).<\/p>\n<p>Link light rail fare is $3 per trip. A $6 ORCA day pass added to your card lets you travel all day for the price of two fares.<\/p>\n<p>Junior Mariners 18 years and under ride most transit systems <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/depts\/transportation\/metro\/fares-orca\/orca-cards\/youth-ride-free.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">for free<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Grab your Cracker Jack, sunflower seeds, wasabi peas and peanuts, save room for ballpark nachos and sushi and head to the ballyard!<\/p>\n<p>TRIDENTS UP!
