Since entering the league in 2013, Jose Ramirez has made quite a name for himself as one of the best players in the league, and has done so while spending all of his career thus far with the Cleveland Guardians<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ramirez began to make people take notice in 2017, before having his breakout season in 2018, when he hit 39 home runs, his career high until just a couple of years ago, in 2024, when he blasted the same amount.<\/p>\n

Over the course of his career, since that breakout season, Ramirez has continued to be a consistent piece to the Guardians franchise, earning the praise of being called the most consistent superstar in baseball to many, which is hard to argue with, as Ramirez has not missed a step nor has his production declined massively since becoming one of the league’s best.<\/p>\n

Ramirez has the chance to make Guardians’ history<\/p>\n

Although the team and Ramirez have not had much postseason success and may not be seen as a contender coming into the 2026 season, the third baseman has the opportunity to be at the top of the franchise’s history if he can have another productive season.<\/p>\n

Ramirez only needs 15 homers and 13 stolen bases to have 300 home runs and 300 stolen bases in his career, which would make him only the ninth player in MLB history to achieve this milestone. If the six-time Silver Slugger can reach 195 total bases, he will become the franchise leader in total bases to pass Earl Averill’s current record of 3,201.<\/p>\n

Judging based on the slugger’s history, it appears that Ramirez will more than likely reach all three milestones, considering the seventh-time all-star has not hit fewer than 15 homeruns in his 13-year career since his fourth season in the league, his first year as an everyday player, and aside from the shortened 2020 season, hasn’t recorded fewer than 231 total bases.<\/p>\n
