But at The Banks, all those drinks won&#8217;t even last the whole day. Bars like Holy Grail will restock, buying beer from cooler trucks out back. It&#8217;s Manager Nick Ramsey&#8217;s 16th Opening Day. He knows it&#8217;ll be standing room only by 10 a.m.&#8221;There&#8217;s not a better party in Cincinnati than Opening Day. And there&#8217;s not a better Opening Day in the country than Cincinnati&#8217;s,&#8221; Ramsey said. Payton and Emma are UC students, buying new Reds caps Tuesday. They&#8217;re planning to watch the parade in person and the game on TV at The Banks.&#8221;We&#8217;re from like the Lawrenceburg, Indiana area, so like getting down here to Opening Day, getting through the traffic and stuff is just not something I want to do, but now that we live up here, it&#8217;s easier to just grab an Uber and come down here,&#8221; Payton Beard said.There&#8217;s other final touches, too. It may be plastic turf, but even The Banks&#8217; grass gets a gardener.And at the ballpark, Tom Tsuchiya is focusing on his Marty Brennaman statue.&#8221;Well, he&#8217;s stronger than before, he&#8217;s a lot more durable to all sorts of the elements out there in the world,&#8221; Tsuchiya said.A new microphone is the same bronze, but &#8220;beefier&#8221; after it was ripped off last year by a 13-year-old vandal.&#8221;That was important. We knew that Marty had to be back here on Opening Day,&#8221; Tsuchiya said. &#8220;Well, I hope they do tremendous. It&#8217;s great to see Suarez back.&#8221;Tsuchiya was at Opening Day 2025.
