Crawford starting the season on the injured list with a shoulder issue, Leo Rivas takes his usual spot.<\/p>\n First baseman Josh Naylor will match up in the game against his brother Bo Naylor, who is a catcher for Cleveland. They previously were teammates with the Guardians and just played together on Team Canada in the World Baseball Classic.<\/p>\n Tanner Bibee will get the nod on the mound for Cleveland in the opener, which is the team\u2019s third under Stephen Vogt, who was hired as Guardians manager after spending 2023 as the Mariners\u2019 bullpen coach. It\u2019s Bibee\u2019s first opening day start, though he was initially scheduled to start Game 1 for the Guardians last season and had his debut pushed back a few days due to illness.<\/p>\n Mariners Radio Network coverage of the game will feature Rick Rizzs, the longtime voice of the M\u2019s, on the call to begin his last season in the broadcast booth<\/a>.
