Thomas Shea-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez said that he was certain his hit would have been out of the ballpark, but wanted to clarify with the umpire if it was a foul ball.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, 100 percent,\u201d the three-time All-Star told reporters through an interpreter when asked if the ball would have been a home run. \u201cI was just checking to see that it wasn\u2019t a foul ball.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut later on, we saw that it was foul.
